Mr. Grey is one of our lobby cats. Technically, he lives in Jonathan’s office, where he’s caused so little fuss that even persnickety Pepper has no issues with him. But Mr. Grey is just that kind of feline. He’s a good-natured, laid-back guy, and not much bothers him. A large male, of an almost-solid medium grey, we estimate that he’s about twelve years old (as of 10/2009). He’s on the talkative side and enjoys going “exploring” in the lobby when it’s quiet.
Mr. Grey is one of our Special Needs Crew. He’s diabetic (for which he receives insulin twice per day) Additionally, he’s in early renal failure and has heart disease. The renal failure may or may not progress with time; we have cats who have been in early renal failure for months or years with no change in that status.
Obviously, Mr. Grey requires a little extra care than your average cat, but if there’s room in your heart and home for a Special Needs feline, and if you’re looking for a mellow, sweet boy, consider this big grey guy.
