Mario is, in the words of our vet tech, “a very nice boy”, albeit a little on the quieter side. Probably born sometime in the spring of 2004, he’s not especially active and seems very docile. He’s been OK around the other felines, a nice plus. Mario is of medium size. He’s got a white coat with multiple patches of buff.

Mario is one of our Special Needs crew. He has a heart murmur, but there’s no known cause for it; his heart appears to be stable, but there is a slight thickening in his left ventricle that we need to monitor. Heart murmurs in cats are like those in humans, in that they can vary in degree of seriousness (Mario’s is slight, and he’s not on any medication for it now). We’ll re-check him every six months to see if anything has changed. Meantime, we’re hoping that someone with a big heart will adopt our boy and love him just the way he is.
