Mahalia came to Tabby’s Place along with her sister Tori when she was just a few days old. The two siblings and their mother were found as strays, and then sadly taken to a shelter where they were scheduled for euthanasia. Thankfully, they found their way to Tabby’s Place instead.

Mahalia has a stunning, silky-soft, blue-gray coat and gorgeous yellow eyes. You may notice a black spot on her left eye, the result of a severe eye infection she developed when she first came to Tabby’s Place. The spot will slowly dissolve with time and we do not expect any longer term side effects. Until then Mahalia will require artificial tears be applied to her eye three times a day.

At 5 months old (as of 1/09) Mahalia acts like any other kitten her age–crazy! She plays seemingly nonstop, usually with toys, but for a kitten that’s really everything, right? When she slows down enough for you to scoop her up, she is very affectionate and happily accepts hugs and kisses.
