Kim

If you’re a fan of polydactyls, take note! Kim is the first polydactyl we’ve gotten in quite some time (if you don’t know the term, “polydactyl” means that the cat has extra toes, in this case, it’s just on the front feet). Kim has white on her front paws, back legs, chest, and tummy; the rest of her coat is black except for a funny little patch of white between the eyes. Kim is exceptionally fond of her food; even in her short time here, she’s put on a bit of weight. She can be quite vocal.

There is an old break in Kim’s right front leg. It’s healed over, and, while it looks funny, it doesn’t appear to bother her at all; she merely holds that paw up some of the time. Because this old injury doesn’t seem painful at all, and because any surgery to correct it would be major (the leg would have to be re-broken, steel pins inserted, etc.), we do not plan surgery at this time.

We estimate that Kim was born early in 2004. She has a very loving disposition and especially enjoys a good “skritch” on either side of the neck. She’s generally good-natured and would be a fine companion in a variety of home situations.
