Jaeger

I associate the word "Jaeger" with a rifle, and for that reason I find Jaeger the least-appropriately named cat at Tabby’s Place. There’s nothing weapon-like or martial about her in the slightest. In fact, what Jaeger wants more than anything else is a lap. If she sees that you are sitting down, she’ll rear up and put her two front paws on your leg; nine times out of ten, that’s followed immediately by her jumping into your lap. Once ensconced there, she’s unlikely to leave of her own accord, and many a staffer or volunteer has been delayed in completing a task because Jaeger is clearly so happy in their lap that they don’t want to move her.

Jaeger is a large female. She’s got a brown tabby coat, with white on all four paws, her chest, her tummy, and her chin; she also has a white stripe down the right side of her nose. She was born early in the spring of 2003 according to our best estimate.

We know that this gentle, sweet girl has a history of seizures, but to date (it’s 5/25/15 as I write this) she has had none during her time with us. Jaeger also has experienced some loss of vision. She can see to a degree, but it’s hard to ascertain how much, and once in a while she’ll bump into an object or another cat. At some time earlier in her life, she was declawed.

If you or someone you know has a lot of time to spend with a devoted feline friend, we highly recommend our Jaeger. You won’t find a nicer lap cat!
