Jack

Poor Jack was rescued from a hoarding situation. He is a small, all-black male; we believe he was born early in 2002. Jack takes a little time to warm up to people, but once he gets to know you, he’s much more sociable. He’s not at all aggressive toward people or other cats, but at present he’s still shy with us.

Jack has severe heart disease (HCM, the most common type of heart disease in felines). He’s on two different medications for this, and he’ll have to stay on those. He’s been stable for some time, but, not to put too fine a point on it, his heart is very bad. He also has severe dental disease. Normally, we’d try to clean up his mouth, but his heat disease is serious enough that he might not survive the anesthesia, so we’ll only do the dental work if his situation becomes desperate.

Watch this space for updates on Jack, and please hold a good thought for our boy.
