Indie is the most beautiful all-white cat. She’s quite large for a female. At some point earlier in her life, she was front declawed. Because of this and because of the fact that she is deaf, she MUST LIVE INDOORS ONLY. We know Indie was born in March of 2002.

Indie was an only cat living in a private home with an adoring owner. Unfortunately, her owner’s cat allergies became so severe that she was hospitalized for them, and eventually, Indie came to Tabby’s Place. Indie was very social when she lived in that private home, but the sudden upheaval in her life has been quite difficult for her, and it’s easy to see that she has been very upset by it. When she first came to us, she was distinctly unfriendly, but she has made considerable progress in a short time. If you sit next to her, speak gently, and take things s-l-o-w-l-y, you can pet her and she’ll rub on you.

We would prefer that Indie be an "only" cat, but she’d likely be fine around one other cat who isn’t too domineering, as long as the two were introduced properly (we can tell you how to do that). Indie has already had a tough break; can you give her story a happy ending?
