Griselle is a perfect example of what Tabby’s Place is all about. She’s a pretty girl, but it’s hard to tell her exact size due to her fluffy, medium-length fur, which is a very dark grey where it isn’t white. She even has a couple of funny grey “freckles” on her nose. We estimate that Griselle is about 9 years old (as of 1/09).

This little girl has had a great misfortune in her life. At some point, she suffered serious trauma to her tail. It was severe enough that her tail had to be amputated. Worse still, the injury stretched her nerves in that area, and she’s now incontinent. Her bladder and bowels must be expressed by hand twice daily. Obviously, she’s one of our Special Needs crew with such a requirement. Of course, most cat shelters wouldn’t be able to keep such a feline, but Tabby’s Place was set up specifically as a sanctuary for harder-to-adopt kitties.

Griselle is shy with people initially, but more than one staffer has told me she does warm up to people and will even sit on your lap once she gets to know you a bit. We’re well aware that her condition is more than most people want to deal with, but we’d love to see such a sweet cat find a home where she can be properly loved and admired.
