Figs

Figs is a very big boy! Unlike some of the felines at Tabby’s Place, his size isn’t entirely due to his appetite; he’s just a large cat. He’s black and white, but, unusually, his face is entirely black. He has white around his neck and throat, as well as white whiskers and white on his chest and feet.

For a young cat (we estimate he was born in February of 2011), Figs has had more adventure in his life than he might have liked. He had a home, but lost it when his first owner was becoming homeless. He ended up at Tabby’s Place and was adopted from us, only to be returned for a reason that simply didn’t make sense to us (if you don’t know, Tabby’s Place has a policy whereby you can return any cat adopted from us if, at any time, the adoption isn’t working out). We have not seen Figs around other cats, so we don’t know how he is around them, but we were told that he had no problems with the dog living in one of his previous homes. One of our staff told me that Figs "adapts well to change", something that cannot be said of every feline!

Everyone who has had any experience with Figs tells me that he’s a very sweet guy. He has no medical issues of which we are aware. Now, we’re simply waiting for the right person or family to provide Figs with a truly "forever" home.
