Emmy

Imagine that you’re a cat, living in a private home. You’re cherished by your owner and have been so for years, ever since you were taken in as a kitten (sometime in the summer of 2003). And then suddenly, everything changes. Suddenly, you’re in a strange place. Your owner isn’t there. Everything is different—smells, sights, sounds, food, litter, the people around you.

This is Emmy’s situation. Her owner passed away suddenly, and Emmy came to live at Tabby’s Place. Is it any wonder she’s been scared and depressed? When placed in a new situation, people can comfort other people with words, to help them understand what’s happening. But cats don’t have that advantage.

Emmy is a large tabby of a lighter brown, with a funny white streak down one side of her nose. She has no medical issues that we can determine. We’re giving her also the patient attention we can, but she really needs an adopter, someone who can spend time with her to make her feel loved again. Are you Emmy’s special person?
