Emma

Emma came to us because of inappropriate elimination, but that has not been repeated here, so it was almost certainly circumstantial in nature. Emma is a striking-looking, grey-brown tabby, with medium-length fur and a dark grey plume of a tail; she has long white whiskers and a little white on her chin and muzzle.

Our records state that Emma does well with dogs (she’s lived with a dog before) and “people she trusts”. We’re hoping Emma will become a little calmer once she realizes she has nothing to fear from us.

Update: We’ve experimented with moving Emma around to several rooms, and we’ve found a place she seems to like. She continues on the high-strung side, and will sometimes nip or swat, so she must not go to a home with small children. However, Emma will now come up to us to ask for attention, something she never used to do, and she’s much calmer with us. She does best where there are fewer cats, if the cats don’t get in her face too often.
