Diamond is the sister of Onyx, who also lives here. Both are black and white, and roughly 3 to 4 years old. The shelter from which they came to us reports that Diamond “likes to be held but is so painfully shy that she is overlooked”. Obviously, she’ll need an adopter with some patience, to bring her out of her shell, but we believe she and Onyx can blossom into loving companions in the right environment. (We’d prefer to adopt the two together, but it isn’t mandatory.) Because Diamond is so timid, small children or other pets (if dominant in nature) might also be an issue.
Update: Diamond is doing well with us. She’s still timid, but she’s out and around more than she had been. She’ll still require an adopter with patience, and we’re still hoping to adopt her with her brother Onyx, who’s far more outgoing.
