Our Claudia is a lovely orange tabby female, with white on her muzzle, chin, and chest. She’s on the larger side. Since she came to us, she’s been a little timid, but overall has done very well with people, and she’s had no issues with the other felines in her suite. Our best guess is that Claudia was born in the spring of 2011.
Claudia has provided us with something of a medical mystery. She has chronic bladder inflammation, resulting in chronic blood in her urine, and we cannot figure out why this is happening. Before she came to Tabby’s Place, Claudia had surgery for this (it was unsuccessful), and she’s had multiple ultrasounds and urine tests, none of which have provided us with any real answers except that her bladder has a very thick wall. So, Claudia is on a urinary diet and will need to remain on that for the foreseeable future. At some point, we might try to get her on to a regular diet, but we’ll wait and see what happens.
We know that not everyone can adopt a cat like Claudia, but we’re waiting for one special person to come through our doors, someone who can love her just as she is.
