Sometimes, it’s the overlooked cats that tend to be the nicest. We can see how that happened with Cecily. Of course, at Tabby’s Place, we find all cats beautiful, but we have to admit that a gray-and-white short hair of medium size isn’t especially exotic-looking or obviously of any particular breed, and we know some folks can be picky about that sort of thing. But we like Cecily just as she is, with her gray tail, gray back, and gray over her head, ears, and eyes (the rest of her coat is, of course, white). We estimate that Cecily was born in 2002, and she’s healthy as far as we know.

While she’s not great with other felines, Cecily is a sweet purrbox where people are concerned. I had never met her before, but when I entered her suite she immediately came walking down the ramp to meet me. Once I had petted her a couple of times, she was purring and happy, rubbing all over my sleeves and my pen and “helping” by lying down on the paper I was using. I turned to go but she hadn’t finished rubbing on me, and it was necessary for me to pet her for quite a while longer before I was able to distract her successfully so I could leave. Cecily can be vocal when she thinks you’re not paying enough attention to her.

A quieter household would be ideal for this pretty senior, preferably with someone who has time to give her the affection she wants. Come in to meet Cecily and you’ll understand why she deserves lots of attention.
