Camille

Camille has had a tough time of it. She arrived at Tabby’s Place at the beginning of August (2013) as a kitten about five weeks old, so badly affected by the ringworm fungus that she had very little fur. Ringworm can be very difficult to get rid of in kittens, as their immune systems aren’t fully developed. So poor Camille was in ringworm isolation for over four months! She’s perfectly fine now, luckily. We estimate she was born at the end of June (2013), so she’s still just a kitten. She’s very playful, but she doesn’t know what’s appropriate kitten behavior because she was isolated for so long. We’ve put her into our Community Room to learn some boundaries and become better socialized.

In addition, because Camille was isolated for so long, she’s not used to many typical noises or a lot of people around her at one time. The good news in all of this is that we believe she’ll learn quickly, as she’s still just a baby. She loves cat toys and has the speed of an Olympic sprinter.

Camille has white on her hind legs and the tips of her front paws, as well as on her nose, muzzle, and chest. The rest of her coat is an unusual blackish-gray that we just don’t see very often. Because she can be a wild child, for the present we’re going to recommend she go to a home without young children (that may change, however).

If you can handle an ACTIVE feline and have a little patience to gently teach this young lady some proper manners, come in to meet Camille. We know you’ll be as smitten with her as we are.
