Bindi

Pretty Bindi is a dark tortoiseshell, with an unmistakable thin line of orangey-buff color running down her nose. She has a lot of deep colors in her coat. She’s medium-to-large in size, and we believe she was born early in March of 2005. Sometime earlier in her life, Bindi was declawed in front.

We were told that Bindi had one seizure in 2008 and was put on an anti-seizure medication because of it. When she came to us, she had been on that medication for over five years. But we had a problem with the situation. You see, there was no veterinary confirmation that she had had a seizure, and in any case, Tabby’s Place would not typically put a cat on anti-seizure medication because the cat had just one seizure. We weaned her off that medication (gradually, of course), and she is doing beautifully. We cannot guarantee she’ll be seizure-free for life, but then again there’s no guarantee she’ll have further seizures, if indeed she had one at all. We simply don’t know.

What we do know is that Bindi has become much more sociable with people. She was very shy at first, but she has come around nicely, although she’s still timid initially with people she doesn’t know. Our vet tech describes her as “sweet, gentle, and personable”. Come in to meet our tortie girl; you might end up going home with a new best friend.
