Beatrice

Our Beatrice is a sweet tortoiseshell, with the mottled black-and-orange markings typical of torties. She has a large orange patch on her chin and throat and a very cute black nose, with black whiskers. We estimate that Beatrice was born the beginning of January 2000. She isn’t very fond of other felines, but she clearly loves people.

Beatrice’s right eye has a “cloudy” appearance, as though there was a light film over it. This was probably caused by an old injury. She should retain most of her vision in that eye, there’s no treatment for this, and Beatrice isn’t on any medication for this issue; it also doesn’t bother her in the slightest. She’s simply a nice-tempered, quieter girl, looking for someone to love her. Come in to meet our sweet tortie!

Sadly, Beatrice was recently diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease. We determined this after Beatrice experienced an extended bout of vomiting and diarrhea. Now she must eat a special diet and receive oral medication, but the change in diet and medication have made a tremendous difference for Bea. She will do just fine as long as her condition and medications are monitored closely.
