Anyone who doesn’t believe the climate is changing need only hang around Tabby’s Place for a while. It used to be unheard of to have kittens born in late fall/early winter, but it’s getting to be more and more common. Badger is one such boy, born on December 13, 2015. His name comes from his colors, as he’s black and white, though he doesn’t really look like a badger. He’s a healthy boy as far as we can determine.

Badger is shy. He likes to play, and he enjoys being petted, but he takes time to warm up to people he doesn’t know. He was just moved into our Community Room (it’s 2/15/16 as I write this), where he’ll get lots of attention and play time, just what this little guy needs to coax him out of his shell.

With a little time and some patience, we’re confident Badger will become an excellent companion.
