Babs

Barbara Ann (Babs to her friends) is a funny girl. Of medium size, she’s all grey, except for a white spot on her chest. Her fur is unusual, in that it somehow looks almost possum-like. She’s quite inquisitive, even for a cat, and always likes to find out what’s going on.

Babs can be friendly toward some people, but we’ve found it’s best to pet her only on the head and/or shoulders. Because of this, she should not go to a home with young children, although she seems to do well with other cats.

We believe that Babs has environmental allergies, so she is undergoing a course of desensitization injections, a treatment also often given to people. It’s uncertain how long she will need allergy injections, but we’re hopeful that eventually she’ll do just fine without them.

Update: Babs’ allergy shots have been discontinued.
