Ashes is a playful dilute tortoiseshell, with a large, pale-orange patch on her chest. She has stunning eyes with two shades of green; there’s a ring of darker green surrounding each pupil, then a paler green surrounding that. We estimate she was born around January of 2008, so she’s a young cat. Ashes can also be quite talkative; if you’re not paying enough attention to her, you’ll be told all about it!

Remarkably comfortable with people, even those she hasn’t met before, Ashes may well make herself at home in your lap if you sit down in her presence. She’ll grab any writing implement within reach, as it’s obviously a toy, but then she’s been known to suddenly decide that your leg is a toy, too. She doesn’t play especially roughly, but we believe that, at least for the present, she’d be better in a home without small children.
