Anneke is a wonderful example of the Tabby’s Place mission. This gentle senior (our best guess is that she was born in the spring of 2001) came through our doors with an old spinal injury of some sort—and accompanying chronic pain. Anneke is on a couple of different pain medications at present (5/30/13), and she will have to continue to take these for the foreseeable future. She’s a pretty brown tabby girl, very sweet around people. Anneke is OK around other cats, though she tends to keep to herself.

While we believe Anneke would do well around humans of any age, it is important to note that caution MUST be used if she is picked up, because careless handling could aggravate her injury. We know that not everyone is willing or able to adopt a cat like Anneke, but we also know she has a lot of love to give to the right person or family. If there is room in your heart and home for a Special Needs feline, consider this engaging girl.
