Albert is a super sweet boy. Never seen him before? No problem; he’ll come right up to you to ask for attention. What he really wants is to rub on you, seemingly endlessly; he’s also hoping you might have some food for him, but that’s a secondary consideration.

Albert is diabetic. At present (early May, 2008), his diabetes is not well-controlled, although he has insulin injections twice per day. He has some neuropathy in his back legs, which makes him walk as though he is a little off-balance, but he gets around surprisingly well.

We know it will take someone extra-special to adopt our Albert, but he’s so funny and so charming that we believe we can find someone who will appreciate him as much as we do.

Update (April 2009): Albert was recently diagnosed with two brain tumors. Sadly, there is no treatment for his condition. All we can do is keep him comfortable for the time he has left. We’ve moved him to our lobby where he’s be receiving extra love and all the treats and wet food he can eat.
