Silver is a precious metal, valued since prehistoric times as money, jewelry and art. In its pure form in nature, it’s actually rarer than gold. Just give her some time to settle in, and you’ll find that Silver the cat is just as precious as her namesake!

Silver has taken the transition to shelter life quite hard, and is still a little moody and fearful. After a slow introduction, however, Silver would very much appreciate some chin and butt scratches. She enjoys attention from humans that she trusts, but isn’t the biggest fan of other kitties getting in her space and would prefer to be the only cat in the home. She could also live with other calm cats as long as she could find space to herself, like she does in her current home in our Community Room.

Silver came to us battling some pretty significant health issues. She’s doing much better now, but remains incontinent and needs her bladder and bowels expressed 3 times a day. She is actually one of our easiest cats to express, and we’re happy to teach this skill to any interested adopters.
