And while our Sassy is calico rather than Himalayan—and more shy than saucy—one thing is certain: her Incredible Journey has only one possible ending. Sassy once had a happy, indoor home. Sadly, her beloved person became unable to care for her and turned to Tabby’s Place for help. Sassy now resides in our Community Room, where she has a front-row seat to all of the sanctuary’s happenings. Although she enjoys overhearing the latest feline gossip (Rori sat on what?!), Sassy is less interested in the humans around her. While she was very sweet with her owner, Sassy hasn’t taken the transition to shelter life easily. She is still nervous around new people, but Sassy isn’t aggressive—if you go slowly, she will accept some pets.

Sassy gets along well with other cats and would be happy in a multi-cat family. But most importantly, she needs a peaceful environment and a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time.
