Life is sweeter with Berry!

Berry is truly one of a kind. The unofficial ambassador of the Tabby’s Place lobby, this inspirational bundle of energy will often be found zooming around seeking out all manners of mischief with wild abandon. Whether he is curiously playing with a toy, enthusiastically wrestling around with one of his many kitty buddies, or peeking his fluffy white and tabby face at you from his hiding place in a tube or rolled up carpet, Berry’s lively antics are endlessly entertaining. He has a big personality and gives off main character energy because Berry really is a star. Unless it’s naptime or mealtime (the two best times according to Berry), he is ready for action. If he can’t find any shenanigans, then he will create some, because life is too short for anything less. Grab some popcorn and enjoy the show!

Berry has an atypical way of getting around. His strong upper body does all the work because he was born with spina bifida, a condition that caused his hind legs to be paralyzed. The paralysis also means he is unable to go to the bathroom on his own. Berry wears a diaper and requires manual expression of his bladder and bowels. While this may seem scary, the Tabby’s Place staff is happy to work with you on learning this skill, and it is very easy to work into the average schedule. He also needs to stay on a special diet for urinary health.

Berry does not let his condition slow him down. On the contrary, try to keep up! This playful love bug would do well in a home with other confident cats or as a solo kitty. Berry is looking for a home with someone who can match his strong personality and has the kindness and patience to take on his unique and special needs.
