The Cordelia of Shakespeare’s King Lear is similar to the Cordelia of Tabby’s Place in the sense that they both embody goodness and loyalty.

Though Cordelia can be a bit shy at first, she warms up quickly with a gentle approach. She prefers slow, calm introductions to avoid feeling frightened. Once she feels comfortable, she’ll eagerly beg for your attention.

Any petting—whether along her neck, the back of her head, or down her back—will reward you with the sweetest little purrs. She’ll even let you know where she wants affection by rubbing against nearby objects. And be warned: when you stop, she’ll give you those irresistible eyes that make you feel guilty for not continuing.

As for other cats, Cordelia gets along well with them and would love to have feline friends in her forever home.
