He may not be a Roman poet, but our Horace is pretty special!
Horace came to Tabby’s Place from an outdoor cat colony and is working to adjust to his new life indoors. His visitors can attest to Horace’s attempts at accepting human affection, for he will often allow for some petting.
The key to Horace’s heart is patience. He appreciates people who respect his boundaries while he adapts to his location change. Horace would prefer to be approached slowly, allowing him a chance to see the person coming. He also likes a quiet volume when being approached because a loud environment tends to frighten this already cautious cat. If you breach Horace’s limits, he may let you know with a smack, but he truly does not mean any harm.
Seeing as he came from an outdoor colony where he interacted with many other cats, Horace has shown he tends to be comfortable with other cats. Horace and all of his suitemates get along well and may even huddle together in a cozy hiding spot!
