Earth to Eartha!
If you’re looking for a cat that is more (absolutely adorable) alien than feline, Eartha may be your gal! With her delightfully curly long hair and saucer-sized eyes, you may find it difficult to resist scooping her up for a squeeze. Eartha, however, plays by her rules.
While she plays hard, Eartha has yet to accept our affections. This strange creature from another planet (or, rather, the country of Lebanon) prefers not to be touched by others and will pull quite the dramatics when things don’t go her way. This is not to say that Eartha is aggressive, but rather that her general response to people is to roll over, put up her paws, and give us her fiercest growl and hiss. While we’re more often moved to laughter than terror by her antics, we give this tiny little gremlin a lot of credit for the sheer audacity of her sass.
For most of the day, Eartha entertains herself playing with jingly or crinkly toys. She is an active youngster that’s often on the go looking for something to play with. Eartha would love a home with lots of toys to play with, although her favorite playthings are the wheels on our rolling chairs and tables.
As far as other cats go, Eartha is fairly indifferent. She would much rather spend her time doing her own thing than snuggling with a friend, but she’s content to mind her own business – as long as others do the same. Eartha would do well as an only cat or in a home with laidback felines.
Eartha has a neurological condition that causes seizures and she will need life long medication to help control her condition. While she’s happy and healthy besides her condition, she requires a home that is ready to care for her needs. Our adoptions team would be happy to discuss Eartha’s medical needs in detail with interested adopters.
