This is Wayne’s World and we’re all lucky enough to live in it!

Wrapped up in a shiny and striking swirl tabby coat, Wayne is dressed to impress. Venture into his suite and you’re likely to find this golden-eyed boy curled up in a cat tree. Although Wayne can be bit shy about asking for attention, he will roll over and show his appreciation for your love with a soft purr.

Wayne has spent most of his years living outside at a local outdoor cat colony. One day, his colony’s caretaker noted that Wayne didn’t seem to be feeling or eating well and brought him to us for vet care. Although Wayne didn’t appear to have any immediate health issues, a simple test revealed that Wayne is FeLV+ and should not return to the outdoors.

FeLV is an immunosuppressive virus that can make a cat more susceptible to infections and cancer. The lifespan of cats with FeLV is variable, but cats with FeLV live happy lives and many have normal life spans. FeLV is not transmissible to humans or other species, but it can be transmissible to other cats. It is not recommended that cats with FeLV cohabitate with FeLV- cats. In Wayne’s case, he is currently healthy and doing well!

In terms of other cats, Wayne gets along very well with his roommate and would do well as a companion cat with another FeLV+ cat.

Wayne is looking for a home that understands his potential future needs. Do you think Wayne belongs in your world? Consider filling out an adoption application online today!
