Meet Doby, hidden gem of the FIV+ Suite!
Walk down the suite hallway and you may be greeted with two glowing yellow eyes staring at you from the cat tunnel of the FIV+ Suite! Meet Doby. This big boy can be a bit nervous about people at first, but we’ll excuse his shyness. As a former feral, the indoor life is still a little new to him.
Doby came to us after being trapped with a pelvic injury. Thankfully, Doby landed himself a cushy foster home to recover in, where he began to learn that humans aren’t so scary after all. While Doby is looking for an experienced, patient adopter who can work with him on breaking through his shyness, this young fellow still has plenty of love to offer the right family.
Doby has made great progress with socialization at our sanctuary. Although he’s still a bit reserved, Doby can be very affectionate when approached gently and quietly. He loves a good scratch around the ears and will roll over to show off his belly. Doby has plenty of love to offer the right family that will offer him just a little bit of extra patience when adjusting to a home.
When it comes to other cats, Doby gets along with his feline roommates just fine. Doby enjoys hanging out with other cats and has even been seen grooming his besties before. Doby truly is a cat’s cat. As a former outdoor community cat, it’s no surprise that he’s a fan of other felines..
