If you’re a fan of big, sweet, handsome tabbies, Willem may be the boy for you!
When you enter his suite, Willem will poke his head out of his favorite napping spot in curiosity. Although he may not come running, if you call to him calmly, he’ll come on out to ask for attention. This sweet boy can be a bit reserved at first, but you will quickly earn his trust with some good scritches! In the right home, we are sure will be an affectionate addition to the household!
Willem is what we like to officially refer to as an “Old Crusty” (one of our favorite types of cats, along with the Fiesties and the Weirdos and the Grumpies and the all-around Hot Messes). Willem came to us from another shelter, so we aren’t quite sure of where he spent his younger years. Although he’s an Old Crusty, he’s not as ancient as his nickname suggests at only 13 years old. Willem has Horner’s Syndrome, which causes the third eyelid on his right eye to be “stuck” in place, but it’s not painful or a bother to him. Other than his eye, Willem is in good health for his age.
The handsome boy is a gentle soul and gets along with felines and people alike. Willem likes to hang out with a few of the other laidback cats in his suite but wouldn’t mind being a solo cat in a home.
