Hector aka Hector-roni  aka Heckin (Big) Boy aka the Heckman (yes, a cat this caliber deserves at least several ridiculous nicknames) is a certified Good Boy™. With his vibrant tabby stripes and chonky figure, Hector is a striking boy who commands a room. As he gazes at you with his big, round, innocent, eyes, you can only fall in love.

Despite his innocent look, Hector has been through a lot in his life. Hector was born in Lebanon and somehow became wounded in his armpit around the time of the Beiruit port explosion in 2020. Luckily, he was found and brought to a rescue that did their best to care for Hector. However, due to limited resources, Hector needed an international rescue to finish the healing process. Luckily, Hector (and 20 other cats from the same rescue) headed to the United States, 11 of which came to Tabby’s Place!

Due to his wound, Hector had to wear bandages and/or a special onesie to protect the wound and prevent it from rubbing due to it’s location. He was not too keen on having to wear those (adorable) little suits, but thankfully his wound closed within a handful of weeks! Now, Hector is onesie-free and enjoying just being in his own skin!

One of the other ten cats that came from Lebanon with Hector was a shy white-with-tabby boy named Mousy. Mousy and Hector met at the Lebanese rescue and have been besties ever since. The two are frequently found cuddling together and taking care of one another. They find comfort in having the other by their side.

Hector does need medication and monitoring for his asthma, but is otherwise a young boy with many years ahead of him!

Hector is looking for a home with his best friend Mousy. Do you think you have room in your home and your heart for these two Lebanese loverbirds? Fill on an adoption application today!
