Dressed up in a sleek black coat and sleek “eyeliner,” Lizzy is one house panther who’s dressed for a formal. From the shadows of her favorite tunnel, she will elegantly emerge, staring up at guests with her golden eyes and dazzling them with her shinny coat. While black cats are quite common, Lizzy knows how to make herself stand out in the crowd.
Lizzy can be a bit particular about her attention, but once she feels comfortable in her surroundings, she will open up to people. Lizzy had a difficult transition from a home, to another shelter, to Tabby’s Place, to a larger suite and eventually to our Director of Operations office. Lizzy was very stressed by the many sudden changes in her surroundings, but she has settled in nicely to her current “home.” Lizzy would do best with a patient family that understands that she will need time to adjust to a new home.
While Lizzy does just fine with other laidback cats, she would also love to be an only cat. Lizzy doesn’t mind having a furry friend, but she’s more of an independent spirit. She would do well in a multi-cat home with introductions or as an only cat.
