As old as Stonehenge and as young as the latest internet meme, Shelby is both ageless and ancient.
With her smushed-in nose, tiny ears, gorgeous blue eyes, and luxurious fluffy coat, Shelby is an eye-catching little lady. She’s a tiny little thing that everyone just wants to scoop up and cuddle with! We believe she is some sort of Himalayan mix, but no matter her exact breed, it is clear that she is a unique-looking cat.
Shelby has a grumpy-looking little face and a bit of an attitude to match. While she appreciates attention and being pet, she doesn’t often seek it out and isn’t appreciative of being picked up and handled. She will let you know that she doesn’t want to be held with a growl so big that it seems it can’t possibly be coming out of her tiny body! As a more reserved cat, she also would much rather find a sunny spot to snooze than chase around a wand toy. Shelby would appreciate a calm home with no rambunctious children or pets. She does just fine with other reserved cats but would also likely do well as a single feline.
This beautiful little lady does have some special needs. Due to a past infection, her eyes are somewhat cloudy, which affects her vision. She also has some slight hearing deficiencies. While she can still get around, Shelby’s vision and hearing limitations make it a little more difficult for her to learn a new space. She can be a bit overwhelmed by lots of action and prefers a quieter space. She also has chronic feline herpes and may require future care to make sure her eyes stay healthy.
