Hana’s story is a little…strange. She came in to Tabby’s Place with two kittens and another young female at the end of 2019. We believe all of these cats were related because they looked so similar, but we can’t be 100% sure. We believe the kittens were Hana’s, as she was still lactating when she arrived. We were told that all four of these cats had lived outside but were taken care of by a family. If that’s true, all were remarkably well-socialized for being outdoor felines.
The kittens and the other young female have since been adopted. It seems a bit unfair that we still have Hana, as she has such a sweet, gentle personality. She’s still settling into her suite and sometimes appears to be a little intimidated by some of the stronger personalities there. If you bring out the toys, however, she loves to play! She bounces around the suite and chases wand toys and plastic balls.
Hana is also petite girl who is almost kitten-sized. She has been nicknamed a “Perma-kitten” (Permanent Kitten) due to her tiny size! You can scoop her right up and cuddle her in your arms.
