The overwhelming majority of cats who come through our doors are mixed breeds, so it’s very uncommon to find a cat with pedigree ancestry among our ranks. Clark, however, is a stunningly beautiful lilac point Himalayan who recently found his way to us. He’s not a huge cat, but all his fur makes him seem much bigger than he is. This boy stops (foot) traffic on a regular basis, as anyone passing by his room stops to stare!
True to his breed, Clark is sociable and enjoys cuddling with people. He would love to have a family that is at home often so he can get the attention he desires. He gets along ok with other cats as well, but doesn’t like to share the spotlight. He would do best as a solo cat or in a home with other relaxed, easy going felines.
Clark was found as a stray. Although he was microchipped at some point in the past, the microchip was never registered, so we were unable to track down his previous owner. He was also unfortunately adopted out and returned to us due to financial issues. After all the upheaval in his life, Clark would appreciate a stable home where he can be loved for all his years to come!
Clark has significant special needs and will need an adopter who is willing and able to take care of his daily needs. Clark has a naturally shortened colon, which means that his body simply can’t absorb all the liquid out of his stool. Consequently, Clark will always have loose stool. He is on a special prescription diet and medication to ease his bowel movements and reduce the production of stool, but he has permanent special needs. The good news, however, is that he faithfully uses the litter box.
Clark is a sweetheart, all wrapped up in one gorgeous, furry package. Do you think you have room in your home and your heart for this special boy? Fill out an adoption application today!
