Minke, new to Tabby’s Place, is a genuine survivor. We were told by the shelter through which he came to us that he was the only being to survive a horrendous house fire, in which all the people and other household animals perished. Given the circumstances, you might expect Minke to be very frightened, but to our surprise he’s adapted quite quickly here. He’s a striking, all black, larger male with a few white whiskers.

Minke is a senior cat (about 13 years of age, we estimate). He likes attention and seeks it out whenever you enter his suite, although there seem to be a few places he doesn’t like to be touched. He can be just a bit of a “grumpy old man” at times, but that usually happens when his suite-mates get in his face (when they don’t, he’s fine around them). Note that Minke is currently on behavioral medication for inappropriate elimination.
