People like you plan a legacy of love

Why are you a Tabby’s Place person?

Lisa Finkel

“The love, compassion, tenacity and bravery you show to cats who need a savior is truly magical.  When I think back to all of the cats you’ve introduced me to — and especially the cats I’ve sponsored (Tashi, Dot, Morgan, Max, and Jude) — I know I’ve made a difference.”

“We have always had cats in our lives — the joy they bring is immeasurable. We adopted what became known as our ‘Fab 4’ (Lester, Fontina, El Tigre, and Dusty Rhodes) from Tabby’s Place in 2021. To be a Tabby’s Place cat is a special distinction. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the work done by the staff and volunteers of Tabby’s Place; it’s clearly a labor of love and it makes our hearts smile. It is only fitting that we leave a legacy of love so that amazing work can continue.”

“Cats have been a huge part of our lives and we felt Tabby’s Place was the most deserving place to leave our estate to.”

“Growing up as the only child of unhappy parents, I learned the meaning of love from my cat Jingles, who was by my side from kindergarten to high school graduation. Cats and books – that was me then and now and all the time in between. Two of my cats came with me to France when I moved to do research and one inspired awe in French children and adults by walking on a leash in the Jardin des Tuileries. Cats have become the center of my life in the past 33 years. Kitikat, Leelee and now Leia all kept me going through good times and bad.  The unconditional love of cats has made me want to give back to organizations like Tabby’s Place, where even the most challenged kitty finds love and care.”

“Belonging to The Thomas Society holds immense significance for me. This contribution will mark my final gesture of support towards the cats and the organization.”

“Could a homeless, unhappy or hurting cat or kitten find a better home than Tabby’s Place? These animals, each quite special in their own right, find their way to our doors from around the world. They are loved and cared for without measure and make their way to happy “forever” homes or become residents for life. As a longtime Tabby’s Place volunteer and a pet parent to many cats of my own, I know no better way to fully support this valuable, important work than to include The Thomas Society as part of my estate plan. When I am gone, I trust my own cats will be in great hands, and my donation will help to continue Tabby’s Place great legacy into the future.”

Malach

Kim and Kathi Miller

“When we first heard about Tabby’s Place on Animal Planet, we were thrilled to discover that it was only a couple of hours drive from us. Over the years, as we became more familiar with the organization and in particular the staff, we knew we had found a very special place. The love and care these cats receive from the staff and volunteers is so powerful and moving, we wanted to ensure it would continue far into the future, and so we became Thomas Society members. Our boy Malach agreed completely and he is now memorialized with a bench in the garden. A place we can sit and reflect on the happiness he brought to us, and the joy Tabby’s Place brings to all of us every day.”

“I have always believed in the importance of compassion and care, especially for those who are most vulnerable. That’s why I’ve chosen to make Tabby’s Place a beneficiary in my estate planning. This sanctuary is a haven for cats who have endured the unimaginable – rescued from abuse, neglect, and dire circumstances. Each cat is treated with the utmost love and care. The sanctuary’s commitment to providing top- notch veterinary care, tailored diets, and a comfortable and nurturing environment where these animals can live happy, healthy lives is truly inspiring. I want to ensure that this incredible work continues, so every cat in need has a chance at the life they deserve.”
