Update for Rose

Dear Sponsors of Me,

Welcome to November, I hereby declare this my most favorite red-and-orange leaf month.  It is fun to find beauty in every month of the year.  I spend a great deal of time gazing out at the world and its beauty through the lobby doors in my comfy cat bed.

I hope your Halloween had more treats than tricks.  My correspondent told me that “trick or treating” was a bit different this year but still lots of fun that brought neighborhoods together.  One of my volunteer friends built a “candy tube.”  A candy bar was placed in the tube by her front door and traveled to the kid at the other end of the tube.

The pandemic has been tough on us all, and it warms my heart to see people still finding safe ways to celebrate.  This gave me a great idea.  Maybe we can build a “cat treat tube” for the lobby, and all the treats can spill out at my cat bed!  I will put that in the suggestion box.  We cats had a blast when the staff dressed us up in costumes, and we had an old-fashioned costume contest.  I was dressed as a pretty princess fairy with wings.  I did not win, but there is always next year, plus I had the best time!

BREAKING NEWS!  As my dearest sponsor, I could not wait to share the news with you.  The Tabby’s Place staff set their hearts on making my life even happier.  They wanted me to have more freedom outside of my sleeping crate, more diaper-free time, and fresh air.  Your li’l southern black-and-white itty is the first cat at Tabby’s Place to have TWO residences.  Yes, that was two residences!  During the day I am Rose the lobby cat, and at 4 pm I venture to my former home, Suite A, until morning.  I enjoy dinner time with my former kitty friends, and every night is a sleepover.  Best yet, I can explore the solarium and take in the fresh fall air.  I even recognize many of my old roommates from two years ago and we are all getting reacquainted.

I am tickled pink to be featured in a video shoot that will debut very soon.  I wanted to share the “behind the scenes.”  My correspondent planned to film outside with me in a stroller (with my ‘nana), or in the Suite A solarium, but the weather was too chilly for this southern belle.  We chose plan B—we filmed in the lobby where I was toasty warm and a little sleepy.  My correspondent did not have the heart to wake or move me. You’ll be among the first to see my premier.

Happy health report this month!  I am off my medication for diarrhea, and my cough medication has been decreased.  I feel cheerful and healthy, and my furry paws are crossed for continued good health.

The Thanksgiving holiday is approaching, and every day when I open my eyes and yawn, I am so very thankful that you are my sponsor!  I have such a blessed life because of your love and generosity.  On Thanksgiving, I will keep you in my heart.

Enjoy a Happy Thanksgiving filled with laughter and lots of food!  Sending you southern pecan pie whisker kisses!

Love,
Rose
