Update for Beatrice

Greetings, all! Our little Bea remains fat and sassy, as usual. As my visits with Bea have accumulated, I have grown ever so fond of the little one. She is full of energy, loves to play, is affectionate, yet quirky. When I enter the suite, I need only to say her name and she comes scooting out for attention. She adores a good brushing, especially behind the ears, but appreciates a feather toy to break up the monotony.

Although merely speculation, I wonder whether Bea might have been the runt of the litter when she was a kitten. She is a bit chewy, which is indicative of an animal being taken from the mother too early. She is also quite a petite animal, (although very stout). Perhaps the theory might explain her chronic sinus trouble.

Healthwise, Bea is feeling a bit stuffy. Her sinuses are giving her some trouble, however, our vet is administering l-lysine doses to combat the sniffles. (We have had good luck with this amino acid in the past.)

In other news, we have learned that Bea is not adverse to the effects of catnip. It is quite a sight to see her round little form skittering across the floor after the catnip pouch. Up until recently, I wasn’t sure she could move that quickly! Until next time : )
