Tanzanite (everyone calls her “Tansy”) was born on or about June 25th, 2014. When she was a day or two old, she suffered some form of trauma. An animal grabbed her (we know this from the bite wounds she had when she was found), and whatever grabbed her also caused spinal damage. Currently, she has partial paralysis in her hind end. She does have movement in her hind legs and she has made progress, but at this writing (8/21/14) we do not know what her abilities will be in the future. Currently, she cannot support her body weight and is fully incontinent (at the moment, because she is still quite small, she needs her bladder manually expressed about every five hours). Tansy is going to see a physical therapist, and we are hopeful that the therapist will be able to help her. She is not currently on any medication for her issues. She has not yet been spayed, in part because she was too small.

This young lady clearly has some Siamese in her. She has beautiful blue eyes, and appears to be Siamese on her top half, while she has some gray and white on her paws. Although Tansy is so young, I feel obligated to caution you about her larcenous tendencies. In her short time at Tabby’s Place, she has stolen more hearts than any other kitten I can name! Volunteer or staff member, someone is always picking her up to cuddle her.

Tansy is a happy, inquisitive little girl. Because she was bottle-raised, she’s well accustomed to being handled by people. She can also be quite sassy; she’s a lot of personality in a small package.

We know that Tansy isn’t a good fit for everyone, but we are sure there’s someone with a big heart who will willingly make her a part of their life and give her all the love and attention she deserves. Is that you?
