Ringo is one big boy, but then he's at least primarily Maine Coon, so his size is justified. He's got the gorgeous long fur and markings typical of the breed. After a very short time here, he's already decided that he's a lap cat, and he'll climb into your lap as though he owns it if you sit near him. Ringo was declawed sometime in his past, and he came to us through a vet's office. If you can believe it, his original owners wanted him euthanized simply because he'd become diabetic!

Ringo was not well cared for as a diabetic initially, and because of this, he has some neuropathy in his back legs. He cannot jump, and many stairs can be an issue. While it's never a certainty, we expect his neuropathy to improve over time now that he's being cared for properly. He also has inflammatory bowel disease and mild heart disease.

Because Ringo can nip chins, he should not go to a home with small children. Otherwise, he's affectionate, loves to be brushed, and is thoroughly deserving of a good home where he'll be properly loved!
