Update on Tux

Dear Sponsors of Tux,

Winter sunbathing

It may be cold outside, but it’s warm and cozy in the Community Room–just the way Tux likes it.

Tux has been in good health this month. His GI system is working well, and his mouth is looking good. He is on a very low dose of medication to keep the oral inflammation under control. Not much to say about his health, and that’s a good thing.

Between his many naps, Tux has been keeping things in order. He has been a more frequent visitor to morning and afternoon meetings. Tux likes to sit at the conference table and oversee the activities. He also likes to “help” Ginny with paperwork and bill paying. And he never overlooks an opportunity to curl up in a freshly fluffed bed–especially when that bed is in the middle of the conference table.

Let the meeting commence.

Much is the same in Tux’s world with the exception of one new arrival. Just after Thanksgiving, Miss Moira decided that Lobby life was not for her, so she moved herself into the Community Room. This created a bit of a stir. Moira made herself right at home and let all the current residents know that she was here to stay. When Tux came to say hello, Moira gave a firm hiss. Tux froze, backed up, and looked up at me as if to say, “What’s with her?” He’s kept his distance since then and Moira has come to understand how things work in the Community Room. You can only be so solitary in a room designed for communal gathering.

Speaking of community, Tux and I would like to take this opportunity to thank each of you for all you do for Tux and his feline friends. We hope that you have a safe and joyful holiday season! We are very excited for what will unfold in 2020 and look forward to telling you all about it.

Your correspondent,
Lisa
