Update for Tux

Update for Tux

Tux soaks up the sunshine.

Dear Friends of Tux,

Summer is most definitely not over in Ringoes, NJ.

No matter that Labor Day weekend has passed. No matter that the young people have returned to school both near and far.

The sunshine shines on at Tabby’s Place, and Tux could not be more pleased.

Tux is a sunbird at heart. He seeks out the sun throughout the year and moves from window to window to bask in its warmth. While he wouldn’t dream of leaving his beloved Community Room, he fully appreciates the draw of the warmth.

But the sunshine at Tabby’s Place these days is not solely dependent on the weather patterns. There is a great deal afoot that has everyone (human and feline) glowing with warmth.

Tux shows off for his fans.

Quinn’s Corner, our expansion to care for cats diagnosed with the feline leukemia virus, is officially open. At the end of August, we held a private celebration for all the parties that played a central role in making the dream of Quinn’s Corner a reality.

For the cats, this meant extra hours of doting love from adoring fans. Tux, as always, was dressed to impress. He enjoyed the extra attention the evening provided.

Tux regularly serves as the official overseer of Community Room business. This month he had extra duties to perform as signs were updated and laminated and photographs were printed and hung. It was a lot to keep track of, but Tux was up for the challenge.

That’s a good thing because the festivities are not yet over! On Saturday, October 7, from 12 to 4 p.m., Tabby’s Place will be open to the public to celebrate the official Grand Opening of Quinn’s Corner. If you find yourself available and in the area, we encourage you to come and celebrate with us on this special day.  We’ll have tours, speeches, activities for all ages, and of course visits with our sensational cats (yes, we mean Tux!)! We’ll be emailing you further details soon, but please mark your calendars for this fabulous moment in feline history.

Dressed to impress.

In addition to celebrating Quinn’s Corner, Tabby’s Place will be celebrating its 20th Anniversary in October. So you see why the sun keeps shining on Tabby’s Place.

These amazing milestones would not be possible without the love and support of our most committed friends like YOU! Tux and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making Tabby’s Place a haven of hope for so many precious felines.

Lisa
