Update for Tux

You do intend to pet me, don’t you?

Dear Sponsors of Tux,

Tux is inspiring.

Just today I walked into the Community Room for a reason related to filing. When I opening the door, I was surprised to see a flash of Tux bolting away across the room. It was the sort of move that a kid might make when they know they’ve been up to something and don’t want to get caught. I’m not sure what Tux was up to, but away he fled.

When I finished the task I had come to do, Tux had settled himself on a window perch. I approached him saying that my next task was to write his update and did he have anything inspirational to share. Within seconds, Tux went from cautious suspicion of my intentions to a purring puddle of mush. He began purring so loudly that I reached for my phone to record him before realizing I had left the phone on my desk across the building.

There’s too much to do. I think I’ll take a nap.

Instead, I simply continued to provide pets and savored the contentment oozing from Tux. It was soothing for Tux, and soothing for me. His purrs were inspiring.  If one is feeling stressed and troubled, I suggest seeking out a Tux for a good pet and purr. Rumbles like his are sure to melt your worries away.

In terms of his health, Tux started out the month seeming a bit uncomfortable. He was observed straining in the litter box a few times. But, as the month passed, Tux’s spirits seemed to lift and he became increasingly interactive with visitors to the Community Room. Tux has a fluctuating appetite. Recently, he has lost some weight, so we are monitoring his appetite a bit more closely these days. On the whole, he is doing well.

Between cat naps, Tux enjoys assisting with office work. He has reclaimed his rightful spot on the corner desk, but if duty calls elsewhere in the Community Room, Tux is certain to be there to offer assistance. What better to keep all those stacks of paper in order than a handsome tuxedoed cat?

You type. I’ll keep the keyboard in place.

While Tux has an uncanny ability to soothe and inspire a sense of peace, your continued love and support of our gentleman is truly inspiring to us. It has been a difficult and challenging year. Without your faithful support, we could not care for Tux and his feline friends.

Thank you!
