Update for the Kitten Fund

Foster group! Gray tabby is Grayson; Tan/Black tabby is Tiger; Black/White is Puck; Black kitten is Esmeralda

Dear Kitten Fans,

Patches is doing story time with her babies!

The smoke has cleared and now it’s time for us to check in on our ever-shifting kitten population at Tabby’s Place. Our gratitude continually goes out to the foster care network, which is always there to support the most vulnerable members of the Tabby’s Place family. Kittens respond beautifully to the nurturing they receive in foster care, and it provides the perfect prep they need socially and medically to prepare them for their forever homes. I’ve included some photos this time of many kittens who are in foster care.

You will be happy to hear after being spayed and neutered that Spork and Crumpet were able to go to their forever home. The cereal trio, Weetabix, Frootloop, and Krispie are getting comfortable in their new foster home and are thriving. They await spaying and neutering and then will be looking for their forever home. They are successfully maintaining a very high level of cuteness in preparation.

Kittens from momma Patches… posing so sweetly! Briar, Berry, Pumpkin and Marchand (who was taken in by Patches when he didn’t have a momma)
A little kung fu fighting practice…

You might think that it would be every cat’s dream to be adopted and live in a home. Not so with mama cat, Locos Tacos, who weaned her kittens and then was very eager to return to her outdoor home. Indoor living is not for everyone. One of her kittens, Burrito, is much smaller than his siblings (a mini burrito if you will) and needed some extra TLC for a few days. He went into foster care with a staff member and the little social butterfly made a new friend with a singleton kitten named Pascal.

Two tiny nuggets, Fission and Fusion, came into the Tabby’s Place orbit and were less than 3 weeks old. They were not in good shape when they arrived and had severe eye infections, dehydration, and fleas, (a trifecta of badness). They were given the spa treatments of a thorough cleaning and antibiotics. They must have been pleased with the improvement and took to the bottle right away.

Another set of cuties being fostered by one of the staff members: Knoxville, Pontius, Steve-O, and Dunn

You might remember Luvs from previous updates. Well, you will be happy to hear that she was adopted by one of our staff members, Karina, and is doing well. Karina’s other kitty, Jude, is now friends with Luvs, who looks like a mini-Jude (see the photo). Our most recent arrivals were three little orphans who came on the Memorial Day weekend, (no days off in animal rescue). Shauna, Travis, and Van took to the bottle beautifully and are now flourishing in foster care.

Luvs, with her kitty friend Jude—they sleep together in the same playpen now!

We thank you as always for your unwavering support that allows us to continue our commitment to the mission of Tabby’s Place.  Many thanks!
