Dear Team Regina,
Welcome to the core of summer! We hope you are enjoying these dog days of the season with cool drinks and fun picnics.
What does one do when every day is a scorcher, and each evening brings a deluge of rain? What else can one do when tornado watches appear on the horizon other than bring in the patio furniture and batten down the hatches? Regina George and her coterie of cats and kittens here at Tabby’s Place find great comfort in being sheltered from wicked weather, not to mention their unadulterated admiration for air conditioning!
From the comfort of her solarium, our dear Regina takes one peek outside at the inclement weather and counts her royal blessings. If it weren’t for sponsors like you, she couldn’t call the “kitty castle” that is Tabby’s Place her shelter in a storm. Eyeing dark clouds or listening to a clap of thunder, the “Queen of the Tabby’s Place Scene” knows she will be safe, well attended, and pretty much the belle of the ball.
When it is time for her royal repast, Regina continues to dine on her new healthy GI-formulated diet. Two days of loose stool resolved without staff intervention, but led us to believe our little empress found a way to sup on some forbidden food. Perhaps the mere idea of a new regimen of back-end baths got her back on track. Of course, we realize the diet formula she favors is in high demand. Sometimes, it ends up on back order. Regina has asked me, as her personal scribe, to inform the manufacturer that she is royalty and must be served before all others!

There are no galas, fashion shows, Olympic events, or other such entertaining activities on this month’s calendar for Regina. (And just whose oversight was that? Off with their heads!) Thus, Regina has been filling her days playing with her pretty-in-pink royal ball. She is naturally quite good at it, of course, and realizes that, indeed, practice makes perfect. She is quite convinced she could outplay any elite WNBA athlete in a floor scramble for possession of the ball … even Caitlin Clark. And she’s sure she could be the queen of skirmishes and on-court catfights. After all, our royal highness is nothing if not competitive!

One very important item of note: Sheila, Tabby’s Place’s Board Secretary, just put a critical date on Regina’s royal calendar. July 15th is Feline Leukemia Day. For cats like Regina, who have the disease, and their caretakers, the related online conference on July 19th is a must-attend!
By the way, the royal calendar keeper has been relieved of their duties, as Regina is certain she naturally should have been the headliner at this event. While Sheila is currently the top candidate for this vaunted title, other interested parties should consider submitting their curriculum vitae for the open position. With pawfuls of time now in her royal schedule, Regina intends to scrutinize all aspirants and contenders very, very carefully. No such oversight must ever happen again!
It is so hard being a royal and getting good help these days. Thank goodness for sponsors like you!
Your correspondent,
Tina
