Dear Team Pepita,
Our gentle girl wishes you a belated Happy Mother’s Day, be you a mother of humans or kitties, other animals, or just a guardian angel-type Mother of this sweet girl.
Father’s Day is right around the corner, and we know all of you fathers are also enjoying the mothers in your lives this month.
Did you know that May is Mental Health Month, which Pepita takes quite seriously? She knows the importance of recognizing when her visitors need extra special attention because they are stressed or overwhelmed at work or just not doing enough for their self-care.
And, boy, is Pepita good at brightening one’s spirits and making you feel like a million bucks! You can’t help but smile at her beauty, energy, and the connection she makes as soon as you enter her space. So her advice to you is to hug a kitty, take a stroll, treat yourself to a massage (something she also enjoys), or take time to do whatever you love in the midst of this often chaotic and crazy world.
Speaking of things that bring joy: you know that spring is truly here when the winter screens are lifted and sweet Pepita can fully delight in the sights, smells, and feels of the outdoors while in her solarium.
The winter screens help prevent the wind from making the solarium too cold, and prevent the rain from blasting in and drenching the place. But their job is pretty much done once May rolls around, so they are lifted.
I know I’ve mentioned that Hazey is a frequent occupant of the solarium, too, and Pepita and Hazey seem to have arrived at a good agreement to share the space.
While Pepita has lost a bit of weight, her annual physical exam and blood work this month were looking good. Thanks to you, our sweet longtime resident can get this special care and attention from our vet team.
If you have never had the chance to visit Tabby’s Place, especially since the completion of our Quinn’s Corner expansion, or if it’s been a while since you were able to stop by, you can now enjoy a wonderful video tour: Tabby’s Place Tour!
Of course, a virtual tour can’t compare to the real thing … and there’s nothing like a visit with our young-at-heart Pepita, who will shower you with whisker kisses, head bumps, and stress-relieving purrs. So please do stop by and see all the sweet kitties. They are anxious to know you better and thank you in person for your amazing devotion.
We hope you are enjoying the sunshine, warm breezes, and perhaps even a glimpse of the Northern Lights this month. More Pepita news coming your way next month.
Until then, take in the greenery, the blossoms, and all the signs of spring! Thank you for all you do for Pepita and Tabby’s Place.
Your correspondent,
Sheila
