Update for Peabody

Yep, that’s me: Mr. Handsome!!

Happy June, cherished sponsors!!

Happy Father’s Day and a special wish for all things good to Jonathan Rosenberg, our founder and the daddy to every cat at Tabby’s Place!

I hope this note finds you feeling well and enjoying the end of springtime.

I’m very cooperative when being weighed!

It has been an eventful month for me and my fellow lobby-mates, and I have a lot to share with you.  Before we get into the fun stuff, however, I’d like to report that I have been healthy and thriving, thanks to everyone at Tabby’s Place and thanks to YOU!  I was weighed, as well, and as you can see, I’m a little over ten pounds… a nice size for a cat.

A few weeks ago, a nice group of young people came in for a tour and immediately fell in love with me!   One young woman sat on the floor and cuddled me, and I think she even tried to kiss me (I hope Olive didn’t see that… she is a bit of the jealous type).  But who wouldn’t fall in love at first sight with this handsome boy?

So, my friend Hips and I were a little bored one day and hankering for a snack.  We decided to quietly make our way down the hall towards Quinn’s Corner.  I told Hips to create a diversion, and I would sneak through the door, grab some treats in the kitchen, and be back before anyone noticed.

Trying to sneak into Quinn’s Corner for a treat!

Well, once again, we were stymied.  The humans always seem to be one step ahead of us and made us return to the lobby empty-pawed.  No treats (sigh).

On one particularly nice spring day, the staff brought me and little Berry outside for a little time in the sun (see video below!) Berry was born with spina bifida and has had a few surgeries to help him out, and he’s doing really well now.  Of course, Berry was up to his usual antics (I’m going to have to teach him how to calm down a bit), but I think he was just excited for something different to do that day.  Next time, however, I hope they remember the sunscreen and maybe a visor.

In closing, I would like to leave you with a special quote from the illustrious author, Mark Twain:  “If man could be crossed with the cat, it would improve the man but deteriorate the cat.”  Mr. Twain was brilliant!

Until July, please be well and remember how much I love you!

Your favorite cat,
Peabody
