Bello and me!

Happy May to my Cherished Sponsors!

Are you enjoying this beautiful weather as much as we are here at Tabby’s Place? It’s my first spring in New Jersey, and I am so pleased to see how delightful it is!

I am also pleased to report that I have been in good health since we last communicated:  no medical issues to speak of, for which I’m grateful.  I think it’s because they take such wonderful care of us, but also because I can feel the love that you send to me each and every day.

We had an Open House a few weeks ago, and the sanctuary was filled with people.  The staff put all of us who reside in the Lobby in another room for a few hours, so we would not be overwhelmed.  Now, you know I am such a “chill” boy, and the visitors would not have bothered me a bit.  And I was a little dismayed that I missed out on all those cuddles (and snacks…there were a LOT of snacks)!  As soon as they “sprung” us, I made a beeline for my special Lobby spot, and everyone was astonished at how fast I could scoot across the floor.  Someone said if Tabby’s Place were a NASCAR track, I would have taken the checkered flag!

A lot of the visitors commented on how many black-and-white cats we have here—we have more tuxedos than a night at the Academy Awards (and we’re much more handsome than those supposed stars)!

Let’s just say “The bag lost!”

In my more mischievous pursuits (I just can’t seem to help myself), one day we had the “Brown Paper Bag Incident.”  You can see in this picture how this bag came out of nowhere and literally attacked me!  You can also see that it doesn’t look good for the bag.  Suffice it to say that the bag lost!

As we approach the month of June, please remember that June is “Adopt a Cat Month.”  Since it is also kitten season, and so many people want the small felines, I hope they won’t forget the older cats who are so loving and deserving of a special home.  If you are thinking about adding a new member to your family, there is a debonair black-and-white boy who could be just perfect for you (hint… his name might be “Peabody”)!

Please be safe and well, and never forget how much I love you!

Your favorite cat,
Peabody
